Sean Bennett, Head Electrician and General Manager
Sean has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge in the field of electrical throughout his career. Sean followed in his Grandfather's footsteps and entered the trade many decades years ago in Canada. He is a licensed and registered electrician in Canada AND New Zealand.
Sean spent time working in the industrial sector in Canada building and maintaining mining equipment and on a regular shutdown schedule for pulp mills, substations and other industrial projects. Sean has a lot of experience with underground power systems- designing and implementing them in the harsh Canadian winters to very high building standards. Sean was a member of the I.B.E.W - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and spent many years designing and working on electrical systems for new home builds.
Sean has worked locally and nationwide and he especially enjoys industrial projects and new challenges. Since 2015, Seka Electrical has gained a strong name in the Power Generation industry in the Waikato region and the business is growing with adding more services.
Kate Bennett, Business Manager
Kate grew up in Wellington and left in her late teens to go travelling and pursue her love of snowboarding. Canada was her destination for snowboarding and mid-way through a season in Whistler, Kate met Sean. After travelling a little between the two countries they settled in a picturesque little ski town in British Columbia for the next 13 years. She was busy running a Home Renovations company and managing the build of their own home.
Since 2015, Kate has been the Business Manager for Seka Electrical and has a Certificate in Applied Business Growth and Management. Kate also has a Diploma in Social Work and has spent time working with youth through schools and government agencies in Canada.
